Rebecca Cueno

Rebecca holds a degree in banking and finance. She has a passion for Early Years Care and Education witch helped her embark on her career journey as an Early Years’ Educator. Since taken this leap she has gained her CACHE level 3 qualification in Early Years and she believes that some of the most important skills to have when working with children are patience, flexibility, respect and most of all love. Rebecca feels sharing these qualities with children, provides the child with the best start to their learning journey.

Lily Popescu

Lily is an experienced Early Years Educator with over five years of teaching experience in the UAE. She holds a CACHE Level 3 qualification and Level 4 & 5 Diplomas in Education Studies, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth.

With her diverse interests and commitment to holistic education, Lily creates a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for her students. Lily is also a strong advocate for learning through play, as children can follow their interest, be unique and learn to express themselves.

Katrina McLeod

Katrina is from the United Kingdom where she qualified as an N.N.E.B Nursery Teacher, with also a Cache Level 3 in Protecting Children and a Diploma in Higher Education in Play work.

Through a fun, creative and play based programme, Katrina aims to provide lots of activities and experiences related to the Creative Curriculum and Early Learning Framework for your child to explore.

She is passionate about challenging and developing children’s learning through play with the knowledge that this will encourage happy, confident and independent children.

Emma Smith

Emma is from the United Kingdom and has over 3 years’ experience working within an Early Years setting in the UAE.

Emma has completed her CACHE level 3 qualification, and holds a degree from Manchester university. Emma has lived the UAE for the past 8 years and calls Dubai her home.

Emma strongly believes in learning through play and creating experiences and opportunities for children to show their individuality. She is passionate about building strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Cynthia Pacheco

Cynthia has been working as a teacher at IDEA ELC for the past six years. She holds a Montessori qualification, and has completed a CACHE level 3 in Early Years Care and Education.

She is a talented practitioner with 11 years of experience with children of all ages. Cynthia has a passion for teaching and believes in helping children reach their unique individual potential.

She is also a firm believer in developing independence, encouraging curiosity, and instilling high expectations in students by providing them with sustained shared thinking activities

Naz Taylor

Naz is in her 10th year as an Early Years Educator and has a wealth of experience working with young children in various curriculums. She holds BA with Hons in Teaching English as a second language, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Diploma in Special Education Need (SEN).

Naz is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for children that supports and encourages a love for learning, curiosity, feeling valued, respected and connected. She enjoys working and supporting children with developmental needs and helping them achieve their milestones.

Kerry Rafferty

Kerry is from Newcastle, England and moved to the UAE in 2008. She has a passion for teaching and strongly believes in learning through play, fun activities and lots of opportunities to explore. Kerry loves nothing more than children, allowing her to assist them on their learning journey. Kerry has over 15 years of working experience in early year’s education and has taught children from ages 18 months to 5 years old.

Kerry believes it is important to build good relationships with parents to help and develop children through their education journey. Kerry lives in Dubai with her husband, 18-month-old little boy and two dogs. As a family they enjoy swimming and going to the beach together.

Andrea Hayes

Andrea graduated with a B.A. Hons degree in Acting/Musical theatre before pursuing her love of teaching. She then obtained an extra qualification to be a licensed educator in Kindermusik 7 years ago, to bring together the love of teaching young children with the joy of music.

Andrea has been a class teacher at The Kids Palace and The Palace Nursery for the last 9 years and has been working as a class teacher at IDEA ELC since January 2023.

She believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping a child grow and providing a foundation for the future.

Tatyana Ister

Tatyana has eleventh year teaching experience in Dubai. The first three years of her career was spent as a Teacher Assistant, at one of the many respected nurseries in Dubai, then she progressed to a Teacher after completing her qualification. Tatyana found that working with children was her passion, she constantly challenged myself to improve her teaching practice.

Tatyana’s goal is to take her class on adventures, where her students can investigate new ideas and form their own thoughts and opinions through hands-on learning experiences. She believes every child is unique and learns at their own pace, but they all deserve the opportunity to learn in their own learning style.

Outside of her career, she enjoys cooking, going to the gym and spending time at the beach with family and friends.
