When you choose a nursery in Dubai, one of the first things to check is that it is properly licensed. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority, known as KHDA, is the Dubai government body responsible for private education. Its remit includes early childhood centres as well as schools. You can view the IDEA Early Learning Center entry in the KHDA Education Directory on the KHDA website.
KHDA licenses and oversees private education providers in Dubai. For parents, this brings three main benefits.
The directory is free and open to everyone. Search for a centre by name or area, then open its entry. Check that the name and location match the nursery you are considering. If anything is unclear, ask the nursery directly.
We welcome regulation, because it protects children and gives families confidence. Our own standards build on it. We keep our groups small, with staff-to-child ratios set by age. We recruit qualified, experienced early years staff. An experienced nurse looks after children’s health in our clinic. See our staff-to-child ratios and our team.
A licence tells you that a nursery meets the required standard. It does not tell you whether the nursery is right for your child. For that, look at the curriculum, the teachers and the atmosphere. At IDEA ELC, we follow the Creative Curriculum, and we work closely with parents at every stage.
We are happy to answer any questions about how we are regulated. Arrange a tour, call us on 800 4332 352 or email info@ideaelc.ae.
