Independent reviews matter when you are choosing a nursery. They show you how a setting looks to someone who visits many nurseries and has nothing to sell. WhichSchoolAdvisor, one of the UAE’s best-known school review sites, has published a full review of IDEA Early Learning Center. You can read the WhichSchoolAdvisor review of IDEA ELC in full. Here is a summary of what the reviewers found.
The review notes that we opened in September 2016, in a purpose-built setting within Victory Heights in Dubai Sports City. It describes a nursery that has become well embedded in its community, and a welcoming hub for local families. The reviewers call IDEA ELC “a highly recommended option” for families who want strong early years teaching and a real sense of community.
The review explains that we follow the Creative Curriculum. It notes that this American framework shares the play-based principles of the British EYFS, with added depth in inquiry and project work. During their visit, the reviewers saw children moving freely between well-planned activities, with teachers asking questions and extending children’s thinking. They describe children who were confident, independent and settled in their routines. Read more about the Creative Curriculum at IDEA ELC.
The review describes spacious, well-lit classrooms with attached bathrooms, and praises the standard of cleanliness. Outdoors, it highlights the vegetable-planting area, the tricycle track, the climbing areas and our pet rabbit. It also describes our expansion plans, including a sensory space and a dedicated baby unit for children from 45 days old. See our classrooms, facilities and resources.
The reviewers point to continuity of leadership as a strength. Our Director, Claire Walker, has been with IDEA ELC since it opened, first as a teacher and then as curriculum coordinator. The review also notes high staff retention and well-trained staff. Meet our team.
At the time of writing, parents rate IDEA ELC 4.2 out of 5 on the WhichSchoolAdvisor parent survey. The review highlights our family events, parent exercise classes and regular communication between teachers and families. If your child attends IDEA ELC, you can add your voice by completing the survey on the review page.
